What warranty terms will I receive with a Refurbished PC?
Baobab Communications Limited offers a 1 year back to base warranty for all computer equipment. In addition, services provided under warranty are not charged.

Is delivery cost included in the purchase price?
No. All customers are encouraged to collect their computer equipment from our offices (Windsor House 3rd floor, University way). However upon request, transport is available on hire at an additional cost of Kshs 1,500 per PC to any destination within Kenya. All liability on transportation rests on the client.

What is included in the desktop computer pricing?
The costs comprises of a full computer unit ; Monitor, Keyboard , Mouse , CPU and CD-ROM , USB , floppy drives. This is also inclusive of one- year warranty on parts and labor.

Do you give quantity discounts?
Our computer equipments are at all-time low prices. However, look out for our frequent special offers in our website or the local dailies.

Do you sell parts?
Yes. This will highly depend on availability of the part on request. However we encourage purchase of full system units.

What are your payment terms?
Payment terms include cash or bank transfer. For checks, all goods will be released once cleared.

Do you buy used equipment or accept trade-ins?
Yes. If the price is right and the equipment is of good quality and high demand BaoCom may consider purchase. Trade-ins are currently not acceptable.

How will we get our refurbished computers maintained?
For maintenance, computers equipment may be brought back to base or serviced on site at a fee.

Refurbishment of computers is the process of putting into good use new or second hand computer equipment. BaoCom obtains second hand computers refurbished in UK through Computer Aid International. This process involves cleaning and repair of any faulty parts. On receipt, BaoCom conducts a second technical check to ensure their quality.

Will a refurbished computer be as reliable as a new one?
Yes. Refurbished computers undergo more stringent tests than NEW computers to eliminate any possibility of failure. The functionalities of a refurbished computer are similar to those of a new computer

How do I know that the product is what it is supposed to be?
All computer equipment is open for inspection at the BaoCom offices. Adequate information is made available to all clients before any purchase and we encourage our clients to visit us in the company of a computer technician.

What software programs come with your desktops/laptops?
Computers are pre-loaded with Open Source software such as Fedora and Red Hat upon request.

How can I get enough processing power with used equipment?
Like any other electrical equipment, the output of the refurbished computer will depend on how well you utilize it. It is advisable to obtain the minimum computer requirements of all software desired before installation. This will ensure that the computer equipment is utilized within its capabilities.

What is the difference between NEW and USED equipment?
The functionalities of new and used computers with similar specifications are the same. The differences may be eminent in the cosmetic appearance, but this is highly dependent on each individual PC. Most of the computers we have in stock look as good as new

How long will it take to get the equipment?
All computers are available immediately on purchase. We have a huge quantity of various brands in stock and are capable of meeting large orders.

Where and when can I pick up the equipment?
Computer equipment purchased should be collected from our offices in Windsor House 3rd floor, University Way. Office hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm Weekdays and 10:00am – 1:00pm Saturdays.
